About Me

My procurement journey began as an apprentice at a cloud software company, where I built a strong foundation in purchasing and vendor management. I then transitioned to a regulatory body, gaining experience in governance, compliance, and public procurement standards. Today, I work at the Violence Reduction Unit, where I apply my expertise to deliver value, transparency, and impact in a role that contributes to meaningful change.

Skilled in delivering procurements under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and now working in line with the Procurement Act 2023. Adept at ensuring transparency and fairness, across all stages of the procurement lifecycle.

Framework Agreements

Skilled in using a wide range of framework agreements including ESPO, CCS, and G-Cloud. Experienced in running both direct awards and mini competitions to identify best-fit suppliers and achieve value for money. Confident in managing supplier engagement, navigating call-off terms, and ensuring compliance with all procurement regulations while maintaining efficient and effective routes to market.

Contract Management

Proven ability to manage supplier contracts from award through to completion, ensuring obligations are met and risks are controlled. Mayor of London – Violence Reduction Unit (2024–Present)

Leading procurement and commissioning across the VRU Programme. Skilled in drafting and negotiating contracts and grants, delivering governance, and ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. Experienced in advising senior leaders, managing due diligence, and driving value-for-money outcomes across commissioned services.

Procurement Manager

Nursing & Midwifery Council (2020–2024)

Delivered end-to-end procurement under Framework Agreements including Consultancy, IT, and Cyber Security. Managed purchase-to-pay, onboarding suppliers, and ensuring compliance. Achieved 50% cost savings on job credit purchasing. Oversaw procurement systems (Open Accounts, Atamis, Rizikon, Power BI) and led IT, HR, and professional services category management.

Supported sourcing processes from requirements through to contract signature. Managed supplier onboarding, due diligence, and GDPR compliance. Chemical Process Engineer

Engineering Career (2008–2016) – Worley, Aker Solutions, Chiyoda Almana

I began my career in engineering, working across major oil & gas projects in the UK and Qatar. My roles included process design, safety reviews, and performance testing of systems and equipment to ensure compliance with international standards. I was responsible for developing technical drawings, carrying out simulations, and supporting large-scale projects from early design through to commissioning.
During my time in Qatar, I worked on projects at Ras Laffan Industrial City, supporting the delivery of critical energy infrastructure. Across these roles, I gained valuable experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, applying technical problem-solving, and delivering projects safely and efficiently.
